When purchasing your ATESS equipment with your Freedom Won battery from Freedom Won, you are guaranteed the best design, installation, and commissioning support. You are also ensured of rapid response warranty and after sales support. Freedom Won is the only ATESS distributor in Africa to hold a complete inventory of recommended spare parts. Freedom Won supplied ATESS and Freedom Won paired solutions include all the latest developments in equipment functionality.

INDUSTRIAL/UTILITY INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS
The Freedom Won LiTE industrial range offers the most compact storage option on the market, with the ultimate energy density being offered by the largest model in our range – the Freedom Won LiTE Industrial 800/640HV+ (800kWh capacity). Four of theses batteries fit into one 12m shipping container offering a 3.2MWh modular containerised battery for large scale industrial and utility applications. To pair with these utility scale batteries, Freedom Won offers a 2800kW battery inverter that may be paralleled for on grid applications to offer AC outputs of more than 100MW and more than 400MWh of storage. The 2800kW inverter may also be used in off-grid applications. Solar Power is incorporated using multiple 3000kW PV Inverters.

Contact Freedom Won to prepare a design and quote for your industrial or utility energy storage projects.

OTHER SUPPORTED INVERTER BRANDS

Testing of inverters for operation with Freedom Won batteries is a high R&D priority – we take this seriously because a fully tested and certified battery-to-inverter integration is key for a great customer experience. Inverter brands certified as integrated with a Freedom Won battery have been well tested, and our support technicians are well qualified to ensure that we can offer our customers comprehensive training and technical support for the particular inverter.  When choosing your inverter brand, please select one that suits your needs from the approved list.

CONTAINERISED INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS
The fastest and often most economical route to an installed energy storage system is to purchase a complete and pre-commissioned containerised system from Freedom Won. Containerised systems are offered for both Victron and ATESS inverter options along with the applicable Freedom Won LiTE battery model(s). Depending on the size of the system, all equipment can be incorporated into a single container including batteries and inverters and other equipment, or inverters can be fitted into a container with the batteries installed into another (or multiple others).
Visit Energy Storage to learn about Freedom Won’s ATESS or Victron compatible battery options for your containerised solutions.

Visit the ATESS or Victron website for more information about your inverter options.

Victron Inverters sold with Freedom Won Batteries
The Freedom Won LiTE and eTower ranges include a communication interface (CAN Bus) designed for optimal operation with the full range of CAN Bus capable Victron inverters, system controllers and solar charge controllers. The interface, first introduced in 2015 and since regularly enhanced through firmware updates, ensures a reliable, safe, and feature rich energy storage system.

The LiTE range is specifically designed for high power capability to match the high discharge and charge power ratings of the larger Victron inverter models.
The full range of Victron 48V inverters, solar charge controllers and Venus family of system controllers are compatible with the eTower and Freedom Won LiTE 52V ranges, from smaller residential or business applications using the eTower or Home and Business 52V range through to large commercial systems using the Commercial 52V range.
For applications requiring 12V battery power the Freedom Won range of 12V LiFePO4 batteries works brilliantly with the smaller Multiplus Inverter/Chargers. Specifically, the Multiplus 500VA, 800VA, 1200VA and 3000VA models can be paired with the 75Ah, 100Ah and 200Ah batteries whilst keeping within the maximum current ratings of the respective battery models.
For larger 12V systems, and 24V systems, look to the Freedom LiTE Marine range, which is designed for marine and other mobile applications, but is also perfect for residential and other stationary backup applications.

ATESS Inverters Sold with Freedom Won LiTE HV Batteries
Freedom Won’s packaged solutions integrating large commercial ATESS inverters with Freedom Won LiTE High Voltage batteries have changed the landscape for larger residential through to very large commercial energy storage systems. The gains achieved in reducing system cost and complexity compared to the obsolete concept of paralleling large numbers of small 48V inverters is a complete game changer – the cost of your power conversion equipment (inverters etc) is literally halved.

The use of Freedom Won’s high voltage batteries reduces cable and busbar sizes 10 times whilst doubling system energy efficiency.

The HPS range incorporates the bidirectional battery inverter with one solar charger with a single maximum power point tracker (MPPT). These models are available in the HPS50, 100, 120 and 150, where the model number denotes both the AC output power rating as well as the PV charge power rating.

The HPS models can be paralleled with other units of the same size in an on-grid or off-grid application (up to four per system). They can be set up with hot redundancy i.e., a number of inverters can go offline and the remaining will automatically and seamlessly continue operating. The HPS models are extremely economical for systems requiring anywhere between 30kW and 450kW of AC or PV power. The standard warranty is 3 years, extendable up to 10 years.

The HPS models incorporate breakers for PV input, Battery, AC input, AC output, and Bypass making installation extremely simple and fast. The HPS includes anti-islanding equipment. The footprint of the HPS floor standing cabinet affords plant room floor areas to be massively reduced. All models include an integrated isolation transformer.

The ideal battery nominal operating voltage range for the HPS range is 400 to 620V. Select any of the Freedom Won LiTE Commercial HV or Freedom Won LiTE Industrial HV batteries to suit the HPS. Note that the Freedom Won Lite Commercial 120/96HV+ is also suitable for the HPS.

The PCS range is a pure battery bidirectional inverter i.e., it does not include an integrated solar charge controller. This range is available in the PCS50, 100, 200, 500 and 630 where the model name denotes the continuous AC power rating in kW. The PCS range is primarily used for projects requiring around 250kW AC power or more because the HPS is more economical for smaller systems. The PCS inverters must be accompanied by a Bypass Cabinet of the same power rating. The Bypass Cabinet provides breaker inputs for the PCS, PV inverters, Grid and Load, and also includes a bypass breaker. The Bypass Cabinet performs the anti-islanding function.

To integrate solar power into a PCS system we use DC coupled solar charge controllers. PV inverters can also be integrated.

Up to four PCS can be connected in parallel per system in an on-grid or off-gird application. The PCS250 and below have transformers integrated into the inverter cabinet, whilst the PCS500 and PCS630 have external transformers.

The ideal battery nominal operating voltage range for the PCS range is 600 to 800V. Select any of the Freedom Won LiTE Commercial HV+ or Freedom Won LiTE Industrial HV+ batteries to suit the PCS.

DC coupled solar charge controllers offer advantages over PV inverters – they are more economical, more efficient at battery charging, more compact, and easier to control. The PBD250 offers an output of 250kW from five MPPT’s with a string voltage of around 550V. The PBD350 offers an output of 350kW from two MPPT’s with a string voltage of around 1000V. Practically any number can be installed in a system provided the maximum charge power of the battery (or batteries) is considered.

Compatible 12V, 24V and 48V Battery Inverters
For 13V and 26V battery systems please refer to the range of 12V and 24V inverters from Victron Energy to suit your needs.

For 52V battery applications the brands below have been tested and certified compatible by Freedom Won. For more detailed compatibility information please download the Freedom Won Inverter Compatibility Guide.

Most of these inverters use CAN Bus for their communication interface with the battery, however some only offer RS485. For systems using LiTE batteries with inverters requiring RS485 please purchase the Freedom Won CAN Bus to RS485 Converter for enabling your battery to inverter interface. For systems using the eTower no converter is necessary as the eTower is equipped with both CAN Bus and RS485 outputs.
All devices except Victron require a special pin configuration for the CAN Bus Ethernet cable for connecting to the LiTE CAN Bus port. For Victron systems the CAN Bus interface uses a standard Ethernet cable. Please purchase the special cable with your battery.

Compatible High Voltage Battery Inverters
Freedom Won offers a wide choice of high voltage batteries with varying voltages. The range presently includes the LiTE 15/12HV and 20/16HV for use with the Ingeteam SunStorage 1Play hybrid battery inverter.

The LiTE 30/24 is suitable for the Sofar Solar 15kVA 3 Phase inverter, while the LiTE Business HV models are suitable for both the Sofar Solar 15kVA and 20kVA inverters and the range of ATESS HPS inverters. Keep in mind that the inverter rated power must not exceed the suggested limits for the battery provided in the battery specification sheets.
