FREEDOM WON – FLYING THE FLAG FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Freedom Won were recently bestowed the Bronze Award in the Large Business of the Year 2018/2019 category at the National Chambers of Commerce and FNB Business of the Year Awards. The organisation accepted the prestigious award at a spectacular gala event held on 25th May at Silverstar Casino in Krugersdorp.
The event, which celebrates excellence in business, has been running for eleven consecutive years, and is one of the most significant on the Roodepoort Chamber of Business’ calendar. By their own estimation, ROCCI has acknowledged the exceptional calibre of the 2018/2019 winners and felt that all recipients were more-than deserving of their awards. Given that last year, ER24 Emergency Medical Care were the beneficiaries of this impressive accolade, Freedom Won are certainly in illustrious company.
Says Lizette Kriel, co-founder of the group, “We are both honoured and humbled by the recognition conferred upon us by ROCCi and FNB. What started out as a dream, has over time evolved into a sustainable business, and more moreover, a way of life. We take our business and our responsibility to our employees very seriously and we have tirelessly strived to achieve the gold-standard in the green-energy sector. This award acknowledges this, and we are so incredibly proud of this achievement.”
The company, which has over the last nine years achieved exponential growth, is an undisputed leader in the alternative energy sphere. An organisation driven by individual and group-wide empowerment, Freedom Won utterly embodies the true spirit of entrepreneurship. Instead of pipe-dream CSI goals, the business seeks to empower employees where it counts: personally. From assistance with vehicle finance, international travel or further education, Freedom Won is an exemplary employer that is destined for further great things.
Says Antony English, co-founder of the business, “In the immortal words of Henry Ford, coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success. These are words that we, as an organisation live by, and which have unreservedly come to fruition. We could not be happier, nor prouder.”
Truly, a long walk to freedom.
